What's your tagline / mission?

Connecting Nigerians in South Africa to housing, jobs, services, and trusted businesses — all in one place.

How did you start working on this idea?

I started SuperConnect after observing how difficult it is for Nigerians in South Africa to find safe housing, reliable jobs, and trusted services. Many people rely on word-of-mouth or scattered WhatsApp groups, which are unstructured and leave room for exploitation. I wanted to create a structured digital home that solves these everyday struggles.

What problem are you trying to solve and how big is it?

Nigerians in South Africa face challenges accessing trustworthy housing, job opportunities, and local businesses. This lack of structure makes them vulnerable to scams, discrimination, and wasted time. The Nigerian community in South Africa is over 30,000 strong and growing, representing millions in economic activity each year. This is a massive underserved market.

What is your solution and how does it work?

SuperConnect is a digital platform where Nigerians in South Africa can:

Find and list housing & property

Apply for jobs or hire talent

Discover trusted Nigerian-owned businesses and services

Connect with others in the community

For business owners, it’s a marketing and growth platform. For individuals, it’s a trusted hub for opportunities.

What is your business model / how do you make money?

Business Listings (monthly or annual fees)

Premium Ads & Promotions (sponsored visibility for shops/services)

Partnerships (banks, remittance services, real estate agents)

Community Marketplace fees (small transaction fees on marketplace deals in future)

How did you go to market and start acquiring customers?

We launched by targeting Nigerians in SA through WhatsApp groups, Facebook communities, and word-of-mouth networks. We are running paid social media campaigns focused on housing and business visibility. Early adopters are already signing up through our web platform.

How many customers and paid users do you have?

We are at the early traction stage with 100+ signups, 15 paying businesses. Our numbers are growing each week as we refine acquisition channels.

What's your vision and strategic roadmap for product & marketing?

Short-term (6 months): Onboard 500+ businesses, scale customer base to 5,000+ users, and introduce premium ads.

Medium-term (12–18 months): Launch the mobile app, integrate payments & remittance partnerships, and expand categories.

Long-term (3 years): Become the number one Nigerian–South African marketplace and community, then scale to other African diaspora hubs.

Who is in your team?

Currently led by me, Olofinyo Temitope Ben (Founder), with contractors/freelancers supporting on development, marketing, and brand design. We are building a strong advisory and partner network as we scale.

Are you looking to raise funds at the moment?

Yes, we are seeking seed/angel investment to accelerate user acquisition, build out our mobile app, and expand marketing campaigns.

What would you advise to someone who is starting up?

Start with the problem, not the product. Listen to the community you want to serve, build lean, and test fast. Growth comes from solving real pain points, not chasing hype.

Your idea can change the world, let's make it a reality!
